Test of the trueness of a friend: How far will they drive to see you?
Today, my great friend Peter made a six hour haul up from Jacksonville to visit me and Auburn for the weekend! Although he is making it a productive visit by touring the campus and going to talk to aviation people (his major. super cool, nbd), I'm still so excited to get to show him the Auburn I love so much this weekend and just to get to catch up with him too. This afternoon while giving him the grand tour of campus, I demanded that he stop and take a picture by the Auburn sign in front of Samford Hall. He was very sweet to comply, and even though the picture is poor quality (I'm sorry, camera phone failed today), it will be so cool if he ends up transferring to Auburn and we have this picture to mark his first time on campus!
Peter, since I know you're reading this, thanks so much for coming up this weekend! I know it was not an easy trip by any means, but it was so much fun to have you here for a day or two!
Hopefully sometime we'll be seeing a picture of my trip to Jacksonville. In the works!
