April 2: Luna!

Are bunnies a legal dorm pet? No. Does that make them any less cute? Of course not. In fact, contraband bunnies are actually even cuter!
My friend Lizzie got a little rabbit yesterday, and tonight we went to see her. We all completely smothered this thing and probably scared it to death passing it around and playing with her.
But still, so cute. Especially in a dorm room (:

April 1: ADPi Formal

Tonight was finally ADPi formal!  We started out the night by taking pictures on Samford lawn - and of course my #1 photographer Erin came to join the fun (:
My stellar date Brent and I completely rocked the dance floor with our swing dancing skills.  Literally maybe took one break from dancing the whole night.
So much fun! Definitely a successful freshman year formal (:

March 31: Shenanigans

Tonight begins what I'm sure will be an epic game of Shenanigans!  Here's the objective:
You get an email that contains the name of your target.  Someone else also gets you as a target.  You must either kill your target or your hunter by shooting them with a water gun within 72 hours.  When you make a kill, you immediately get a new target.
Sounds simple, but will apparently get so intense.  As in people sleeping in places not their own rooms and skipping class just to stay in the game.
Here's the fun twist - I am Erin's target.  So we were automatically very disappointed when we got the first email, thinking the game would immediately be over for one of us almost immediately.  However, we then realized we could work away from ourselves (her killing her hunters, me killing my targets) and now we have an alliance that I think will be deadly (:
Happy Hunting!

March 30: Roomie love (:

I was not feeling so great this afternoon.  As in a 'I have to go lay down and take a nap right now' feeling bad.  So that's just what I did - got off the world for a little while and slept the afternoon away.
Not only did I wake up feeling better, but I also woke up to the little surprise.  Sweet Erin wanted me to feel better, and she knew that this honey green tea stuff is a fave (: I love my roommates who always look out for me!

March 29: Leischuck construction

The four-year old in me was very excited to walk out into the parking lot this morning to find the parking lot being ripped up! And the college student in me was equally as excited for the huge crater in the Leischuck parking lot (that has come close to destroying so many tires) being finally repaved.
Only downside: Erin and I missed the cement drying this afternoon and didn't get to permanently leave our mark on the Hill by carving our initials in the parking lot.
Nevertheless, successful day for good ole Leischuck!

March 28: "Homemade" lunch

After an exhausting chemistry lab today, I desperately needed some good food!  So, instead of yet another sandwich or salad, I stopped by AU Barbecue in the student center and got a delicious vegetable platter.  Mac&cheese, green beans, mashed potatoes, and butter beans (:
Definitely a lunch that gave me that homey feeling even if it wasn't quite the real thing!

March 27: Stud Rec to be

This Sunday afternoon was a blur of meetings jumping back and forth between sorority recruitment meeting, first Student Recruiters workshop, and finally 4 hours of Greek Sing practice.  However, it was an absolutely beautiful spring day, and in the midst of all the busy-ness, I was so struck by how blessed I am simply to be at Auburn and also for all the cool opportunities God has given me to get involved and make a difference here!  He has such great plans for me next year just like He had such a great fall planned out for me this year, so as I'm doing all the prepping meetings for August already, it makes me excited for all the awesome new things I'm going to get to do in the fall (like actually giving campus tours to potential new students as a student recruiter!!)!
God is so good, even (and especially) when I am so busy!

March 26: getting our hands a little dirty

This morning, I had to super cool opportunity to participate in Auburn SGA's "Big Event" which is a community wide day of service that a ton of students come out for every spring.  So, for our project my team of seven of my sweet pledge class sisters and I went to an older lady's house and planted a bunch of bushes and flowers in her yard.  She knew the landscaping that she wanted done, but she just can't do it on her own anymore.  This job was so up my alley, and I had such a great time getting a little dirt under my fingernails while working with plants in the yard.
After we finished the job, our lady was so sweet and made us the token "grandma lunch" of turkey sandwiches on white bread, chips, bananas, and oreos. Classic.
Such a great morning of hard work and fellowship with some sweet friends. Definitely worth getting up at 8am on a Saturday!
