Through an Auburn SGA program that I'm involved in, last semester I got connected to the Auburn United Methodist Church Food Pantry. Now, almost every Thursday morning I go and spend an hour before class helping sort and package food to be handed out to people in the community who need some help. Since I've started going, I've gotten so attached to all the sweet older ladies who volunteer there, and because they are always so excited to have volunteers and thank us over and over again for coming, I always feel like my time really does make an impact there. I've always had a special place in my heart for service, but I really love the food pantry's mission of outreach to the community in need right around us!
