Tonight (for class credit) I went to see my first ever performance of Shakespeare on stage when I went to see the Auburn Theater performance of
Hamlet (excuse the poor photo quality - camera phone in the theater where "no flash photography is allowed" heh). I was very skeptical going in and half expected to be bored to death/struggling to keep my eyes open, but I was pleasantly mistaken. The play was amazing! Great acting, a cool semi-modernized version of the play, and of course the story like that has entertained people for centuries. I loved that I could completely understand the dialogue because of how well it was spoken and that right at 99 minutes long the play was just the right amount of long.
Maybe I should have a little more faith in ole Billy. I see more Shakespeare on stage in my future.
